- CLASS DESCRIPTIONS -

Yoga Foundations (Good for beginners)

A foundations yoga flow class designed for beginners or students wanting to focus on poses. You will learn the basic alignment and form.The class is offered at a slower pace with the support of yoga props so that beginners can cultivate the body awareness required to do yoga safely. Detailed explanations are provided and questions are encouraged. The class consists of physical postures, meditation and breath work.

Yin & Yang (All levels welcome)

Yin Yang yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice. Bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures.

YIN (All levels welcome)

This class is composed of a series of long holding postures: 2-5 minutes, encouraging release in the tendons, fascia and ligaments – with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, this practice helps release deep held tension, emotion and resistance. It is a wonderful balance to a yang/vinyasa practice.

Basic Vinyasa (Good for beginners)

New to Yoga and need to learn the moves, then this is the class for you. This class teaches you a strong foundation so that you can build strength and confidence to take your yoga practice deeper.

Traditional Hatha (All levels welcome)

This class is Hatha-inspired, meaning it will be slower paced so we can hold poses longer, find optimal alignment and move with the breath. We’ll explore the chakras, anatomy and breathing techniques. You can also expect music to join us via the singing bowl or chimes. Open to all levels, including beginners.

YIN restorative

These are sweet, rejuvenating classes that use props and the power of gravity to relax and pamper both your body and mind. Yoga & Mindfulness includes a greater focus on meditation. Great for all levels, including beginners.

Vinyasa – Gentle flow (All levels welcome)

A graceful vinyasa flow sequenced to keep you moving intellectually in your body, energizing you mentally and physically for the remainder of your day. This is a 75 minutes class. Open to all levels, including beginners.

Vinyasa – Balance & Stretch (All levels welcome)

This class is where you can meditate, release, play, tune in, and find acceptance of ourselves. Instructor mixes a variety of philosophies of yoga together to create a unique experience each week, mixing movement, stillness, stretching, strength, balancing and coordination to help the mind and body and spirit work together. Students are encouraged to play and listen to their bodies and to practice with the idea that this is a life journey, not a moment of mastery. All skills and levels are welcome and encourage finding the level that will fit this moment, knowing that each moment maybe different.

 

Hatha (All levels welcome)

Hatha is the traditional form of yoga in which postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also commonly practiced.

We also have a class every Wednesday called BASIC HATHA, This class is designed for beginners.

Beginners Yoga (Good for beginners)

New to Yoga and need to learn the moves, then this is the class for you. This class teaches you a strong foundation so that you can build strength and confidence to take your yoga practice deeper.

 

Vinyasa – Core strength (All levels welcome)

Dynamic classes linking breath with movement, strength, and flexibility, through intelligent sequencing of challenging asana (postures) creating more focus and presence in our lives. Students benefit from the encouragement of the teacher and the class, finding their own edge between challenge and acceptance. This class focuses on core muscles.

Vinyasa – POWER. (All levels welcome)

Coordination of movement and breath with Vinyasa Flow (Halfway push up, upward facing dog, downward facing dog) repeated throughout the practice between each static posture. Has qualities and benefits including internal heat, increased stamina, strength, balance and flexibility, as well as stress reduction.
